International Summit on Water in
Developing Countries 2011
Reception and
Awards Banquet
The International Summit features a unique Reception and Awards Banquet
that will be prepared by International Visiting Chefs from France in
conjunction with the Chef of the National Press Club. These chefs have
volunteered their time and money (including international travel) to prepare
an extraordinary banquet dinner for International Summit guests.

The Reception and Awards Banquet will offer uncommon opportunities for
world leaders and project planners and implementers to talk in an informal
setting. One feature of the Summit is Ambassadorial participation, and we
plan for an Ambassador from a Developing Country to be a host at most
banquet tables so participants can hear from national leaders.

The Awards Banquet will feature Alexandra Cousteau as keynote
speaker. The Individual Awards for Achievement in Water in Developing
Countries 2011 will be presented to Mr. Matt Damon and Mr. Gary White,
cofounders of Water.org, and Ms. Alexandra Cousteau, founder of Blue
Legacy.
